Our Story

The Big Y Cafe opened its doors way back in 1939. Since then, it’s become a staple location for friends to meet friends in the Wenatchee Valley. Whether you’re visiting from out of town or live right down the road, our goal is to make you feel like family by providing homestyle comfort food and friendly service in a comfortable atmosphere.

In 2015, the Big Y became part of the Wild Huckleberry family of restaurants. Despite the change in ownership, many of the Big Y classics have remained, such as the Trucker Burger and Avis’ famous pie. More than that, the quality dining experience that folks have come to know and love at the Big Y can still be expected every time you walk through the front door.
